Zeina Group was founded in Egypt in 1988 by Engineer Abdul Karim Natout. The Group's converting plant marked the launch of Zeina brand for tissue products which grew to become a household name for pocket and facial tissues, in addition to other premium tissue products. The focus on quality rapidly earned the company a reputation of excellence which contributed to its leading position in the Egyptian market today.
Our commitment to excellence to manufacture world class tissue made from 100% pure virgin pulp, coupled with focused marketing strategies led to the structured market development and growth of per capita consumption in Egypt.
In 1999, Zeina's success led to the acquisition of its second converting plant in 10th of Ramadan City in order to meet the company's rapid growth. Coupled with highly effective distribution through the Group's main distribution arm; AIID, market share continued to grow as market coverage expanded to cover all trade channels.
In 2007, Zeina Group made a strategic vertical integration decision to invest in a tissue mill. The decision aimed at securing self sufficiency for raw material, as well as expanding into a new business field to supply the market at large with tissue as raw material. The decision was supported by the ample resources the Group had built. Those revolved around the vision of the founder and the capable and dedicated human resource base the Group developed over a 20 year period.
Today, the Group's commitment to excellence is reflected in a series of globally earned certifications. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 18001 certifications attest to the Group's achievements as a quality oriented Group. The Group currently employs over 1000 proud employees engaged in the full value chain of producing tissue as raw material, converting it into consumer products and making it available to the market efficiently and effectively. Zeina Group has also become an active global exporter of environmentally friendly products, renowned for quality and reliability. Our customer base spans three continents with clients in each of the United Kingdom, Turkey, Estonia, Hungary, Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Tunis, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Cameroon, Ghana and Ethiopia.
